The States of Jersey
Jersey is a Crown dependency and is internally self-governing. The States of Jersey is the governing assembly of the Island. The Island is administered by Committees, responsible to the States Assembly, although this is likely to change in the next 2 to 3 years to a ministerial form of government. Planning, Building Control, Environmental and Property Services are the responsibility of the Environment & Public Services Committee.
